Introduction and Background

At the beginning of 2017 , we were referred to Birmingham Supported Living 2010 Ltd (BSL). They have multiple sites base around Birmingham offering assisted living to vulnerable adults. Their energy portfolio was being managed by in house staff all with different suppliers and they were experiencing major billing issues.

Challenges

BSL faced several key challenges: Fragmented Energy Contracts, spread across multiple suppliers, with varying end dates and pricing structures. Outstanding bills all estimated that didn’t add up against actual meter reads. Major administrative issues being caused with by multiple suppliers.

Within the first 4 month, we aligned all contract end dates, a task previously deemed unachievable by the other brokers.

Over the years this as allowed us to market their portfolio as a single basket, giving them additional discounts.

We have changed all analogue meters to smart meters, providing more accurate meter reads and together with proactive accountant management we resolved all estimated billing.
